A structured methodical process for populating a crime script of organized crime activity using OSINT

Abstract Crime script analysis is becoming an increasingly used approach for examining organized crime. scripts can use data from multiple sources, including open sources of intelligence (OSINT). Limited guidance exists, however, on how to populate the content a crime with data, and validate these data. This results in being generated intuitively, restricts them scrutinised their quality, limits opportunity combine or compare scripts. We introduce practical process populating that involves simple coding procedures uses document quality assure are extracted sources. illustrate example theft oil pipelines Mexico committed by groups. The structured methodical we produces high helps improve systematic decision-making performed members groups, identification opportunities control.
